Lily & Monday appointment

We are going through a process now where Lily will be ageing out of Early Intervention (program for kids with special needs) that is paid for by the state. She will be starting A.E.R.O. or the school district after her 3rd birthday, Sept 14. Lily is progressing with her speech at a slow rate. We want to get an evaluation done to see if there is any further issues. She has had a lot of blood work done which ruled that out (any medical issues). I told you we finally get an appointment with Dr. Dana B at Childrens Memorial on Sept 10. (We are actually seeing her at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield, IL).Well there was a cancellation and we are going on Monday, June 30.This will determine if she has verbal apraxia. Something going on with her brain where it the nerves and such aren't sending a message to the mouth to spit the words out. There will be a developmental physician, occupational therapist, speech pathologist and a developmental therapist at this 'medical evaluation'. They will ask me a lot of questions about her history. They will evaluate lily while in play. It will take about 3 hours. They will write up a report with their findings and recommendations.Maybe the speech therapist we currently have can work with her differently and use different strategies to get her talking. This report will also be good for the school system to have. There is many different kind of teachers and therapists at the school that can help her properly. I am just soo anxious that we are going Monday and we can FINALLY get some kind of diagnosis.
