Expressive language disorder

We finally got the report from Dr. Dana at Childrens Memorial and it states she has EXPRESSIVE LANGUAGE DISORDER. http://www.minddisorders.com/Del-Fi/Expressive-language-disorder.html It seems she will always have a problem expressing herself until about high school, but hopefully it will be fixed sooner because the problem was caught early. Due to the help of her current speech therapy and then being in preschool for 3 years should be a great push in the right direction. I am grateful that her birthday is in September because it gives her almost a whole nother year to catch up.

Lily got a bone xtray of her wrist taken on Friday to see the growth of her body. She gave blood to test her thyroid and chromosomes. I am very curious to see what results the genetic doctor/genetic counselor come up with after seeing these test results.

On a good note, September 15, Lily will be starting the Early Childhood Program at Harnew School in Oak Lawn. She will be taking the bus.
